WHO WE ARE
Citadel Impex was established as a trading company in 1991, coinciding with the newly liberalised economic climate in India. In year 2001, it became a corporate entity with its operations widened to include wider range of products and also manufacturing. Since then, we have been growing year after year, expanding the width and variety of our offerings.
In year 2024-2025, we as corporate entity, are celebrating 25th year of glorious partnership with our esteemed clients and trusted suppliers.
Our team is a healthy mix of experience and youth. We have trained and dedicated personnel for tendering, engineering, production, quality control, packing, logistics, accounts and banking, operating out of our offices in Mumbai and Pune.
OUR HISTORY
1991
Citadel Impex started by Bharat Sanghvi, a textile engineer, as a trading company for export trade mainly with Mauritius
2000
Citadel Impex becomes Pvt Ltd, a corporate entity, adding to its heft as an organisation
2007
Citadel Impex expands its footprint to other countries in Indian Ocean and UAE. Adds power cables to its range
2014
Citadel Impex continues to expand to new geographies with exports to East Africa and leveraging its clientele for liaising into supplies for infrastructural projects
2022
Citadel Impex starts its office in the industrial hub of Pune, to provide added push to contract manufacturing and quality control. It adds European engineering company to its clientele
2025 and beyond:
Citadel Impex enters 25th year of its incorporation, with its offerings expanding to over 2500 products, several industrial sectors and wider geographies. Citadel Impex institutionalised its achievements with certification in ISO and implementing documented operational protocols for assured service and delivery. Citadel Impex will continue to make forays into new products, new markets and new sectors, building upon its legacy of resourcefulness and dependability, guided by the dictum that the world is an oyster!

Ketan Sanghvi, with experience in engineering, joined Citadel Impex, thereby making first moves into engineering trade, mainly in sugar engineering

Citadel Impex earns status as a Star Export House, recognised as such by Government of India for its strong performance
2010
Citadel Impex shifts emphasis from trading to contract manufacturing and project supplies. Carries out its first site erection and commissioning work in Africa
2018
Citadel Impex adds West and South Africa as well as Saudi Arabia to its destinations
2024
Aditya Sanghvi, with an experience in building systems and solutions, joins company as Head of Growth and Strategy, infusing new blood into an old promise. Implements steps towards digital transformation for better coordination, agility and client support.
